ADK MODEL S VIENNA EDITION July 2003—Debuting at Summer NAMM from ADK Microphones is an upgraded version of its popular A-51 studio condenser mic but with an Austrian-inspired tonality. ADK STEALTH LINE May 2003—No preamp required! At AES Amsterdam, ADK Microphones unveiled its Stealth Pro Audio line, featuring a studio mic with onboard Class-A, line-level output electronics. The first models are due later this year, with a 192kHz digital out version in early 2004.

ADK MODEL ST October 2002—The Model "ST" is a Class-A FET design featuring three polar patterns, pad and bass roll-off. Designed for both live and studio applications, this mic has a smooth response curve that's flattering on both male and female vocals. Applications include "point-source" pickup of multiple voices/instruments (bluegrass to barbershop quartet) and high-SPL applications, such as drums and amplifiers. Price TBA.

ADK A51sc August 2002—From ADK's Audiophile Series FET comes the new A-51sc Small-Capsule Condenser High-SPL Version mic ($399). Introduced at Winter NAMM 2002, the A-51sc is a true condenser design with a 20mm diaphragm, fixed-cardioid polar pattern and 20 to 20k Hz frequency range. A -10dB pad has been added, as well. Included are a mic clip, vinyl pouch and small flight case.
ADK AREA 51 CE December 2001—The Area 51 Commemorative Edition mic from ADK is a multipattern condenser model featuring a hand-selected, NOS (New/Old Stock) GE 6072A vintage tube. The mic features nine polar patterns and handles SPLs of 125 dB (1% THD @ 1 kHz). A precision condenser element with 1-inch diameter, gold-sputtered dual diaphragms provides a 20-20k Hz frequency response. The Area 51 is $1,895, with foam windscreen, suspension mount, connecting cable, power supply and deluxe aluminum flight case.
ADK A-51TL October 2000—New from ADK is a large-diaphragm, low-noise transformerless FET condenser microphone with four polar patterns. Identical in dimensions to the A-51TC fixed cardioid tube mic, the A-51TL offers frequency curves specifically designed to emulate a vintage '50s-era European condenser mic.
